November 30th – December 1st, 2016
Infinite Energy Center
Duluth, GA

Interfaith Children’s Movement (ICM) and Gwinnett SToPP will be on deck presenting “Creating a Welcoming School Through Family and Community Engagement” at the Georgia APBS conference. This is our third year presenting at the conference. Our goal is to ensure the parent and community component of PBIS (Positive Behavior intervention and Support) is not lost in implementation.

The Georgia Association for Positive Behavior Support (GAPBS) is a network of the national Association for Positive Behavior Support (APBS; www.apbs.org). The purpose of the GAPBS network is to increase the visibility of positive behavior support in our state. The network aims to provide a collaborative statewide effort to disseminate positive behavior support practices.

The theme for this year’s 9th annual conference is “Connecting School, Home, and Community through Positive Behavior Support.” This is their largest annual conference yet. With over 100 presentations to choose from, speakers and attendees will join together to promote the expansion and dissemination of positive behavior support in educational, community, and home settings across Georgia.
