The Finding New Directions, increasing student achievement (FND) team has been hard at work all year encouraging the participation of Gwinnett County Public Schools as we write policy meant to offer more constructive discipline in school. The State Board of Education has been instrumental in providing context and support. Representatives from numerous other community organizations are playing a key role in writing this policy. Groups involved include PLI alumni, CETPA, and Interfaith Children’s Movement. We are excited about the progress that has been made thus far and look forward to providing more detail when the policy language is completed and provided to GCPS.
