Education System in Crisis Series

On November 9th, Gwinnett SToPP will be presenting our fourth installment to the Education System In Crisis series titled, “Native American Boarding Schools and the COVID Response.” We have been discussing racism in education including: the foundation of the education system, disparities in discipline and opportunities, and Police Free Schools! We educate the public on inequity in the U.S. broadly, with a special focus on Gwinnett County Schools. This summer during the Black Lives Matter uprising, the Coalition decided we should take a deeper dive into political education in order to explain how we got to this moment.

The event will be live-streamed on our Facebook page at 7 PM on Monday, November 9th.   Come join the conversation! It is important that we continue to learn and reflect on the history and present-day realities of Black and Brown students so that we are clear about what and why we are fighting.
