Partners, stakeholders and friends, it is time to pay attention and get involved. The change we have been working for is here and we have work to do to make sure we capture it. This evening Marlyn Tillman will speak before the Gwinnett County School Board to demand an end to school resource officers in our schools. Recent events have shown a bright light on institutional racism, disproportionate targeting of students of color for harsh discipline and on the abhorrent practice of student arrests. We are demanding what our children deserve – a safe, peaceful learning environment.
